Home workers are persons engaged in the production, processing or packaging of goods in their own homes or a work place chosen by themselves. They are not self-employed and work under a mandate of companies or persons who farm out home work. The provisions of the Home Worker Act (Heimarbeitergesetz) apply to this category of individuals.
