Workplaces, construction sites and work Equipment must be equipped with lightning protection systems in the following cases:
- Workplaces at risk of lightning exposure because of their height, floor area or architectural structure have to be checked at least every three years.
- Workplaces requiring lightning protection because of the purpose they serve have to be checked at least every year. This applies, in particular, to workplaces where explosive, extremely flammable or large quantities of highly flammable work substances are stored or handled.
