If it cannot be reliably determined whether noise exceeds the exposure limit values or the limit values for certain rooms, the noise level must be assessed on the basis of representative measurements. These measurements have to be repeated at adequate intervals and may only be carried out by experts and with the aid of suitable measuring instruments.
