In accordance with the Regulation relating to Blasting Operations (Sprengarbeitenverordnung, SprengV) such work may only be performed by specially authorized persons. As set forth in the Labour Protection Act (ArbeitnehmerInnenschutzgesetz, ASchG), these persons must have undergone special training and have the relevant special technical expertise. Assistants may also be appointed for clearly defined activities.
