see also Risk Analysis; Risk is generally defined as the product of the probability that a certain (harmful) incident will occur and the expected severity of the damage. Risk assessment (risk analysis, hazard analysis) refers to a procedure by means of which hazard zones and dangerous moments during work are systematically identified and evaluated, so that subsequently measures commensurate with the extent of risk can be taken. For employers, the risk analysis in the risk assessment at work (workplace evaluation) and the special risk analysis of modified or combined work equipment is of particular significance.
