This equipment is defined as all protective devices that eliminate or reduce the risk of accidents by separating operators from the source of danger. They are subdivided into mobile (adjustable) separating protective devices, such as automatically closing spring-activated protective covers of manually operated circular saws, and fixed separating devices, such as housings, claddings, panels, covers and guards.
