An air conditioning system is a ventilation unit which automatically keeps air temperature and air humidity in a room at a defined constant level over extended periods of time, or a technical installation which consists certain of at least two air conditioning units with combined control that serves to create and maintain a certain room climate. Under the Labour Protection Act (ArbeitnehmerInnenschutzgesetz, AschG), in principle, no obligation exists to use an air conditioning system.
