Every workroom must be designed in such a way as to assure a free minimum air space (i.e. without fittings) for every employee, which may not be less than

• 12 m³ for work requiring little physical effort (i.e. clerical work)
• 15 m³ for work requiring moderate physical effort (i.e. working on a turning lathe)
• 18 m³ for work requiring major physical effort (i.e. digging);
