The Construction Work Coordination Act (Bauarbeiten-koordinationsgesetz, BauKG) of 1999 provides for the safety and health of workers on construction sites through the coordination of the activities of the individual crafts during the preparation and execution of construction work. Vital elements of this Act are the activities of the planning co-ordinator (sections 3 and 4), of the construction site coordinator (Sections 3 and 5) and the Safety and Health Plan (Sicherheits-und Gesundheitsschutzplan, SiGe-Plan, Section 7).
