If, pursuant to the Regulation relating to Workplaces (Arbeitsstättenverordnung, AStV) or a provision issued by a Provincial Government a fire protection officer, a fire-fighting team or an in-company fire brigade has been appointed, this is considered as enhanced fire protection. In this case, the following requirements have to be met:
- Drawing up of fire protection regulations and preparing a fire protection plan;
- Keeping a fire protection logbook;
- Conducting fire alarm and evacuation exercises once a year;
- Instructing employees in the handling of fire extinguishing equipment in zones with enhanced fire protection
