Work substances must be packaged in such a way that in view of their intended use (i.e. transport by means of a forklift truck, free storage on a construction site), no hazards may arise for workers. As a rule, substances are properly packaged when delivered, but it may also happen that chemicals have to be repackaged or refilled. In all of these events, the data on the labelling and the information contained in the safety data sheet have to be observed. Never ever must hazardous liquids be filled into beverage bottles, as this may lead to extremely severe accidents that have repeatedly happened in practice.
