In repeated cases of violations the fines are between euro 290 and euro 14,335. The Labour Protection Act specifies the very concrete obligations of employers, which if not met, lead to fines. Example: The obligations concerning the marking of safety and health protection devices. In the event of non-compliance with these obligations, administrative fines may also be imposed on employees after they have been warned in writing. These range between euro 218 and, in case of repetition of the offence, up to euro 363. Example: If workers fail to use personal protective equipment provided to them – despite their employers’ information and instructions.
