Preventive services is a synonym for prevention and occupational health specialists. Preventive services must be available at every workplace. In contrast to the persons of trust for safety matters (safety representatives), these prevention specialists act primarily as advisors to employers. Pursuant to Part Seven of the Labour Protection Act (ArbeitnehmerInnenschutzgesetz, ASchG) prevention services are offered by safety professionals (or experts for labour protection), occupational health specialists or other experts, such as, for example, occupational psychologists. All of these are experts with special training who support employers in all matters related to the safety and health of their employees at work.
