During prevention time, safety experts and occupational health specialists are required by law to co-operate in the (initial) assessment of risks at work as well as in the updating of the relevant documentation. This means that, in contrast to the initial assessment, subsequent evaluations have to form part of the activities carried out during the prevention time. Employers may also delegate the initial assessment to preventive services, but this work must be done outside the minimum service hours. The prevention experts working for AUVA’s prevention centres exclusively act in an advisory capacity.
