Work that has to be performed in elevated places (podiums, false ceilings, wall openings), near floor openings (shafts, sewers, etc.) or on ramps involves the risk of falls. In such cases guard rails and/or covers have to be installed. Should this not be feasible, the danger zone must be marked (i.e. on loading bays) or fall protection devices must be used.
