Screens must be positioned with due regard for ergonomic principles. In this context, the following requirements should be met:
- The distance between the employee’s eyes and the screen should be a minimum of 50 cm (with larger screens : up to 70 cm).
- Screens should be placed parallel to window front, direct backlight and windows in the back (reflections) should be avoided.
- The top line on the screen should be at eye level; the screen should not be too high or too low as this would cause tension in the neck area.
- The distance between the keyboard and the edge of the desk should be at least 10 cm so that the balls of the thumbs can rest on the surface during typing.
