Depending on the mode of transport (exclusively persons, or vehicles or both), the frequency and type of use (passages, service stairs) requirements vary with regard to the width, location and properties of a transport route. Under certain circumstances, transport routes (and potential storage areas) have to be provided with floor markings or signs.
